One thing I absolutely enjoy about lineside railfanning with a camera inhand, is that You sometimes can find equipment from past /fallen flag railroads of the recent past coupled on to any given freight train.
This former Conrail Hi Cube box car, was photographed on an eastbound freight train passing through the Elmwood Park Illinois, Metra commuter rail station.
Conrail existed from 1976 until 1999.
