The Franklin Park Public Library, located at 10311 West Grand Avenue in near northwest suburban Franklin Park Illinois, elcomes local Chicago historian, railfan and internet host Eddie K from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 5th, 2011.
Eddie K, will be hosting a local railfan photo slideshow aimed at trains and transportation enthusiasts.
A special feature, will be the showing of an historic DVD video entitled "The CTA EL and other Electrics", wich features several local Chicago silent home railfan movies of the CTA rapid transit lines, photographed during the 1950's and 60's era.
If You can remember the long gone Garfield Park elevated line on the west side of the city, or perhaps the electric interurban trains of the Chicago, Aurora And Elgin, or the Chicago, North Shore And Milwaukee wich had shared the CTA right of way to and from downtown Chicago Illinois....then You won't wan't to miss this presentation.
