A scene out of the 1950's. The Strasburg Railroad. Strasburg Pennsylvania USA. August 1990.

I took this 35 MM black and white photo, during My August 1990 vacation to Strasburg Pennsylvania USA.

Another day is coming to an end, and the tourist hauling Strasburg Railroad, is preparing to put their 1920's era Baldwin 2 -10 -0 steam locomotive in to the enginehouse for the night.

The way these three people are dressed combined with the 1940's era General Electric 44 Ton Center Cab diesel locomotive to the left and the steam locomotive to the right, give this photo a 1950's era feel about it.

During this period, many North American railroads were converting from steam to diesel locomotives.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
