This historic photo was E Mailed to Me recently, by Mr Robert Pitunjac from the Clear Ridge Historical Society of Chicago.
One of many small amusement parks that once had surrounded the greater Chicagoland area that I fondly remember, was a fun place known as Playland Park.
Located in southwest suburban Justice Illinois, this little amusement park offered seasonal family fun begining during the 1950's, until the park had closed for good in 1979.
The old Playland Park site today, is now the site of the larhe Sterling Estates trailer park.
Thanks Robert.

That picture is a ride called "Sky Fighter" It went up about 5 ft. and had a gun mounted on the front and the back, the gun made a buzzing sound when you pressed the trigger.
