The Chicago & Joliet Electric Railway east terminal at South Archer andCicero Avenues. Chicago Illinois USA Circa 1920's.

This historic photo taken at the intersection of South Archer and Cicero Avenues in Chicago during the 1920's era, was E Mailed to Me recently by Mr. Robert Pitunjac of The Clear Ridge Historical Society of Chicago.

Seen here, is the train station and transit terminal used by both the single car lightweight interurban streetcars of the Chicago And Joliet Electric Railway, and the city streetcars of the Chicago Surface Lines Company.

This was the west terminal for the CSL Route # 62 Archer Avenue line, and the east terminal for the Chicago And Joliet Electric Railway Company.

Today, this is the site of the Skylark Motel, Brandy's Restaurant, and a CTA bus turn around loop.

Thank You Robert.
