I took this photo back in May of this year, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers, H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

I grew up in the city of Chicago Illinois USA during the 1960's, 70's and 80's.

Trains I witnessed outside during the 1960's and 70's as a kid, are the inspiration behind this late 1960's era freight train of mine. The old Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe was one of My favorite Chicago railroads for many years.
