Industrial ariel water sprinklers to keep coal dust down. Chicago Illinois USA. Saturday, October 15th, 211.

I took this photo during a recent photo outing to the far southeast side of Chicago, near the Indiana state line border.

This large ariel water sprinkler, is used at the East 95th Street coal yard in the South Chicago neighborhood, to keep coal dust levals down and to prevent spontanious combustiom of the solid fuel pile.
