I took this photo one evening after work last week, in uptown Park Ridge Illinois.
Located at 100 Summit Avenue in near northwest suburban Park Ridge Illinois, is the Metra commuter rail station on the Metra / Union Pacific northwest line to Harvard Illinois. In recent past years, this was the former Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad mainline.
The Park Ridge Metra ommuter rail station is a famiar location for Me during My work day as a paratransit driver, as many times I am dispatched to wait here for handicapped passengers transfering to or from other paratransit companys. It is a regular transfer point for First Transit handicapped buses.
It was nice to visit this depot after I was officially "Off Dutty" for the night.
