I took this photo at work one day in early September of 2008.
Being employed as a Paratransit Driver Myself, those occasional mechanical failures on the road do occur. Age and various mechanical issues have been catching up to First Transit 2001 Chevrolet paratransit bus # 5036, and here it is upon being towed back to the North Cook garage facility in north suburban Glenview Illinois.
This bus is just mere months away from it's own impending retirement from service, as "New" Ford paratransit buses are on order and scheduled to arrive soon.
Believe Me, these things do eventually happen.
