I took this photograph a couple of weeks ago, in northwest suburban Des Plaines Illinois.
Parked just north of the Dempster Street railroad crossing on the Union Pacific Railroad's former Chicago & NorthWestern freight only Techny line, are two pieces of equipment used by the Union Pacific Railroad to maintain their track.
