Well folks....The Chicago Blackhawks NHL Hockey Team finally did it! On Wednsday night, June 9th, 2010 The Chicago Blackhawks won game # 6 of the Stanley Cup Hockey Championship with a 4 to 3 win during overtime against The Philadelphia Flyers.
Local team spirit is running very high throughout the greater Chicagoland area.
The local Bear holding the two lanterns sculpture alongside Lehigh Avenue in north suburban Glenview Illinois, is now proudly wearing a Chicago Blackhawks Jersey too.
Originally, this sculpture was wearing protective hockey head gear as well a few days before, but a severe thunderstorm hit the greater Chicagoland area, and soon...the red play at home Jersey sufficed.
