I took this photo after work one cold Winter evening last year, in December of 2009.
Although December in the city of Chicago Illinois is almost always full of overcast days and there is the ever shorter daytime with early darkness many Chicagoans despise, on the bright side...there are many opportunities to photograph night time railfan subjects.
It was very cold and windy when I took this photograph with no train activity in sight. Still, the Metra Galewood commuter flagstop depot made for a nice nocturnal photo subject nonetheless.
