Penn Central caboose #24526 at Philadelphia Pennsylvania in April of 1974. From the internet.
I spotted this photo recently while surfing the internet.
One familar and favorite railroad color scheme I grew up with during the late 1960's and mid 1970's in Chicago, was the Jade green livery used by the Penn Central Railroad from 1968 until the Goverment creation of Conrail in 1976.
I used to enjoy seeing these cabooses on the rear of transfer freight trains on the southside of Chicago. This photo was taken way back in April of 1974 in the city of Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
