I took this photo last year in June, during what turned out to be Kidieland Amusement Park's final season of operation after 81 years at this site.
The Kiddieland Limited gasoline powered replica late 1940's era streamliner passenger train, is viewed heading northbound passing alongside adjacent First Avenue.

It has been announced that TODAY, MONDAY, JUNE 28th, 2010...The Kiddieland Amusement Park site at North and First Avenues in Melrose Park Illinois, will be the start of the long awaited demolition. A Costco store is to be erected here and opened by November of 2010.
