Switching at the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, Argo Yard. Photographed during the Chicago Deep Freeze of February of 2007.

I braved sharp winds and 6 degrees above zero Farenheight conditions to take this photo back in February of 2007.

We are looking north along Illinois U.S Route # 171 / Archer Road in southwest suburban Summit Illinois. Bitterly cold as it was, work continued all business as usual at the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad's Argo Yard in Summit Illinos.

The entire Chicagoland area, was fighting a severe deep freeze condition at the time of this photograph. Underground water main pipes were actually bursting under the streets in many locations.
