I took this photo looking west on West Cermqk Road / aka West 22nd Street near Canalport Avenue, in Chicago's very industrial Pilsen neighborhood. Recently repainted into this lovely and striking Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad style Heritage paint scheme, is Central Illinois Railroad 1950's era rebuilt EMD model SW-9 yard switcher # 1206. The vintage 1st Generation EMD switcher, is seen pushing a BNSF Railway boxcar across west Cermaak Road. In the foreground can be seen a fellow railfan and his bicycle utilized for the photo freight train chase. ( A wise choice.)
