Summertime memorys helping Chicagoans cope during the winter.

Saint Clair of Montifalco Catholic Parish annual summer carnival. Chicago Illinois. June 1987.

Hello everyone!
Welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page from the city of Chicago Illinois.

As You proboubly already know, Chicago like many other citties and towns in North America, has been experiencing a long and uncomfortable Winter season in 2010.
With recuring lake effect snowstorms, ice, frigid temperatures, cold winds and all the usual inconveniences like short daylight hours...thoughts and memorys of summertime is definately ones happy place to be in. At least mentally.

I took this photo way back in June of 1987.
An ice cream vendor is busy selling refreshments on the carnival midway, at the Our Lady of Montifalco Catholic Parish at South Washtinaw Avenue and West 54th Street on the southwest side of Chicago near Gage Park.

Hang in there folks! It won't be much longer.
