I took this photo yesterday during a short lunchtime visit to Deerfield Illinois.
After two days of heavy lake effect snowstorms that dumped a record 12.6 inches of snow on the entire Chicago area, the bright but frigid sunshine was more than welcomed by many Chicagoans.
The old steam era former Milwaukee Road passenger train station in far north suburban Deerfield Illinois looked great in this very seasonal setting. It looked like a scene from a traditional Christmas Holiday greeting card.
