Eastbound Belt Railway of Chicago transfer train passing through Hayford Junction. Chicago Illinois USA. April 1987.
I took this photo on a beautiful Spring afternoon back in April of 1987.
An eastbound Belt Railway of Chicago transfer train with a 1st Generation EMD Cow and Calf model TR-4 yard switchers up front, are viewed approaching the Grand Trunk Western Railroad crosstracks at Hayford Junction.
Hayford Junction was a frequent haunt of Mine for railfan photography back during the 1980's. This busy freight only junction, is located at West 75th Street and South Central Park Avenue in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood.
