Historic photo! Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad transfer train passing through Blue Island Illinois. June 1975.
This photo comes to Eddie's Railfan Page from My links page Fallen Flags.Org, located to the right of Your computer screen.
With first generation (1950's era) EMD NW-2 model yard switchers pulling road freights in this classic black and white color scheme, the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad for many years resembled the old 1950's era New York Central Railroad.
This photo was taken at south suburban Blue Island Illinois back in June of 1975.
