I took this photo on a very sunny Thursday, February 11th 2010 during My morning lunch break.
A northbound Metra local commuter train has just arrived at the Deerfield commuter rail station enroute from Chicago to Fox Lake Illinois. The entire Chicago area had just experienced two days of heavy lake effect snowstorms that had dumped a record 12.6 inches of snow accumulation begining on Tuesday, February 9th 2010.
Although it was cold and windy, the sunshine was more than welcome.
