I took this photo one evening after work last month.
Although it was on the quiet side when I arrived to take this night time photo at the Metra Northbrook commuter rail station, that would not last very long. Soon after I took this photo facing north from the west or "Southbound" platform, two Metra locals from both directions arrived minutes apart. The speeding southbound Amtrak Hiawatha train came whipping through here as well. Occasionally, one can find Canadian Pacific freight trains passing through here at any given time.
This is the former Milwaukee Road northline.
