A westbound Metra passes by during a morning snowstorm. Chicago Illinois USA. December 2007.
I took this photo looking southwest, from the adjacent Metra Western Avenue commuter rail station. It was snowing on this morning in December of 2007.
This train was moving slowly on the adjacent Metra / Union Pacific west line tracks to Elburn Illinois. Prior to 1995, this line was owned and operated by the former Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad. Western Avenue station is located on the former Milwaukee Road line. This is approximately 2 miles west of downtown Chicago Illinois near West Hubbard Street.
