U.S Postal Service mail delivery truck on Lincoln Avenue. Morton Grove Illinois USA. January 2010.
I took this photo one day last week during My morning lunch break.
Seen here is an often overlooked scene of work a day Chicagoland.
A U.S Postal Service mail carrier, has parked His delivery truck on Lincoln Avenue and is now making the rounds at the adjacent apartment buildings here in north suburban Morton Grove Illinois.
When I was growing up in Chicago during the 1960's and 70's, The U.S Post Office utilized Chevrolet step vans and small American Motors Corporation Jeeps with blue on the lower body below the cenetr of the vechicle, while there was a red stripe along the center and the upper portion was painted white.
During the late 1970's, the U.S Postal Service began utilizing this color scheme shown here.
