I took this photo at work this past February, just after the infamous Chicago Blizzard of 2011 had started falling on the entire Chicagoland area.
For some reason or another, I had taken My camera to work that day. I had just dropped off My last two regular bus passengers at their homes in Elk Grove Village Illinois, and was heading back to the First Transit garage in north suburban Glenview Illinois.
The heavy snowstorm, was coming in sideways from the east like a desert sandstorm with heavy winds blowing.
This photo was taken looking east on Oakton Street in northwest suburban Des Plaines Illinois, at the intersection of Illinois U.S Rt # 83 / Elmhurst Road.
A southbound front loading Mack garbage truck from the Groot Disposal Company, carefully treads it's way through a slick snow covered roadway, enroute back to their nearby company garage facility.
