I found this photo on the internet recently.
This night time photo was taken during the 1950's and 60's era, inside Chicago's long gone Riverview Park amusement park.
Many older relatives often told Me of what a nice place Riverview Park was to visit during the summertime, and judging by this photo...I can see just why. Apparently, the midway at Riverview Park, was a magical place to be.
I was only 5 years old when Riverview Park had closed for good at the end of Labor Day weekend in early September of 1967...but the many stories and first hand accounts that many people have told Me,plus the photos on the internet, give Me an idea of what a special place Riverview Park really was here in Chicago.
Thanks.
