Hesston Steam Museum Narrow Gauge railroad

I spotted this video on You Tube this morning.

One of My all time favorite railroad museums that I enjoy visiting here in the midwest, is The Hesston Steam Museum. This operating steam powered narow guage railroad museum is located in the town of Hesston Indiana, just east of Michigan City, and just a few miles south of the state line border at New Buffalo Michigan.

This little 2 foot narrow guage 2-4-2 coal burning steam locomotive based on late 1800's era design, originally pulled steam trains around the perimeter of Chicago's Brookfield Zoo during the 1970's until the end of all zoo railroad operations in 1985. After 17 years in storage, this locomotive and two others along with several open bench coaches from the former rookfield, Salt Creek & Western Railroad, (Brookfield Zoo's railroad.) were officially donated to The Hesston Steam Museum in 2002.

Thanks.
