H.O steam freight train run by.

I photographed this digital live sound video recently, at The Oak Park Society of Model Engineers, H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

Seen here, is My used Athearn U.S.R.A light 2-8-2 Mikado steam locomotive, pulling a string of modern box cars and cabooses, operating as an imaginary steam freight extra on the former Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. I had just recently equipped this locomotive with an inexpensive MRC sound decoder.

Now while the real ICG would proboubly have never done a thing like this back in the 1970's and 80's, It is fun to imagine that this old Baldwin circa 1918 steam locomotive was recently restored, and was making a break in run.

Imagination plays an important role in model railroading.
It just wouldn't be fun without it.

Thanks.
