Railroad security patroling the BNSF Railway Corwith Yard. Chicago Illinois. January 2007., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
I took this photo back in January of 2007.
The times have changed for Myself and fellow camera carrying railfans.
A BNSF Railway railroad police s.u.v patrol car, is viewed at the east end of West 41st Street, at the BNSF Railway Corwith Yard in Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood.
During the 1980's, this area was unfenced, and the railroad seemed to tolerate responsible and respectful visiting railfans.
After the events of that dreaded Tuesday, September 11th 2001 terrorist attack on America, everything today is very tight security for good reason.
